With twenty-seven years experience in metal working, Shire Valley Design has the skill to provide you with high quality, hand crafted, custom ornamental design. Our shop is centrally located in Berks County Pennsylvania.  This allows us close access to the Mid-Atlantic States, including Philadelphia and the Main Line, New York City, the New Jersey Shore, Baltimore Maryland, and the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays. 

As you browse through our portfolio, you will see a wide variety of innovative custom designed high end residential as well as commercial projects.  Our experienced team of metal craftsmen is skilled in working with stainless steel and aluminum, as well as wrought iron and cable railing.  Protective finishes include polishing, powder coating, hand applied patinas and anodized coatings.  

As NOMMA members, we have access to a nationwide network of skilled fabricators and suppliers knowledgeable in state-of-the-art advances in technology as well as ever changing code requirements. Our well equipped office and welding (mig & tig) and fabrication shop enables us to offer in-house design, precise fabrication on through to completed installation.  Our fully outfitted welding truck and trailer helps our crew to ensure that your project is delivered safely and installed with care and pride.

Typically the process develops from meeting with you and discussing your needs, ideas and vision. This includes looking for related themes in your existing architecture, exploring design options such as laser cutting, choosing catalog components or custom designing hand forgings.  Our FabCAD® library contains thousands of components available from ornamental metal suppliers throughout North America and Europe.  Next we develop accurate AutoCAD® renderings for your review and approval prior to fabrication.  Using our wide format printer, we produce full scale shop drawings which ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
